SARDEG will provide website development services to interested organizations as a mechanism for income generation. ICT Consultancy Services

SARDEG will offer ICT consultancy services to bridge the digital divide and facilitate income generation. It will be in the business of providing ICT solutions and expertise to government and business organizations in the countries by aggregating ICT professionals and experts from the region, and channel these valuable resources to fulfil the ICT requirements of the countries. Our mission is to help our clients leveraging on the advances of ICT towards achieving their business objectives. The scope of the Consultancy Services covers the whole project cycle i.e. from Strategic Planning, Delivery, Operation & Maintenance, and up to Project Appraisal.

It will provide a range of management consultancy services backed by substantial experience in the information and communications technology (ICT) environment. These consultancy services include:

  1. Strategy development

  2. Best practice programme and project management

  3. Outsourcing policies and implementation

  4. General ICT management and organisation, including standards conformance, risk management and business continuity

  5. Sector specific mentoring and coaching

  6. Computer Networks - a range of services from the fundamental decision about the networking of a communications system, through to planning, designing, installing and maintaining the system. Specially, E-business consultancy services will include:

    1. The design e-commerce solutions (business to business and/or business to consumer) and their integration with existing or new system

    2. e-Procurement

    3. e-Auctions e-authentication and technology

    4. Online database design online database design

In providing the consultancy services SARDEG will not work alone. Through collaboration and strategic partnership with others, it will leverage on the existing strengths of various partners in the region. It will build, upgrade, manage, package, channel, market, and deliver regionally or even worldwide solutions and expertise in a wide range of fields related to ICT and corporate best practices. To ensure successful alliances with our partners, it will adopt the following key strategies:

  1. Creating knowledge sharing routines

  2. Choosing complimentary partners

  3. Building and managing co-specialized assets

  4. Establishing effective management processes

Together with its partners, consulting services of SARDEG will offer innovative capabilities to better serve the needs of our existing and emerging clients.

ICT Training

SARDEG in collaboration with other partners will conduct ICT related short courses and training. As ICT proliferates in every sphere of activities in the region the need to make effective use of ICT in all sectors will increase. While ICT training can help develop the core ICT skills required it may not address the more fundamental issue of the effective and efficient use of ICT in the work place. SARDEG’s will offer a range of training services to help various oganisations develop their use of ICT. Examples include:

  1. Advice and training support for integrating ICT management systems into business processes

  2. Advice and training support for the effective use of ICT in the office place

  3. Advice and training support for getting started with online business.

  4. Advice and training support for developing ICT training materials

SARDEG will also provide for in-service education and training on ICT with consultation, planning for, and delivery of support to interested organisations. The training programme can be tailored to the needs of specific target groups (eg, village level local administration staff under ministry of Rural Development, India for the computerisation programme support) computerisation. Training resources will be made are available for purchase and may be provided free of charge where appropriate to in-service training. Resources can also be created to the needs of individual organisations.

Clearing House

The SARDEG clearinghouse on development will be an online resource for all those with an interest in regional materials: pamphlets, posters, training materials, job ads, electronic media and other documentations designed to promote socio-economic development of the South Asian countries. The clearinghouse portal will also give easy access to a wealth of information on policies, programs, and financing strategies for initiatives striving to improve the lives of children, families and communities. The clearinghouse will meet the information needs of the community based organisatuions in the region and serve as an online resource center providing timely, relevant research, web-based information, and training materials for business clients. The overall goals of the SARDEG clearinghouse are to:

  1. Support the development actors with research and relevant analyses

  2. Empower small entrepreneurs through on-site training materilas.

  3. Facilitate the exchange of best practices in policies and program ideas.
