AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The Northeast Forum is established
with the objective of studying key issues relating to the
amelioration of economic and social life of the people of the
Northeastern region, suggesting policy options and contributing to a
national debate on these issues. The Forum will often work in
cooperation with policy makers both political and administrative,
researchers, media and community activists. It seeks to bring
together on a common platform the key policy stakeholders, namely,
politicians, policy thinkers, and administrators. Its programs and
activities will promote:

Cross-disciplinary and cross-departmental research.

Visits and residency of distinguished scholars.

Dissemination of the Forum's research results among the public.

Public debate on Forum goals and activities.

Institutional collaboration with the key international partners of
the Forum.
